We become Pharisees ourselves when we chide our children with all their imperfections, but fail to confess our own.
Sometimes our own situations make us question our God. Some days that negative self-talk sets in. We almost lose our hope, our sense of the goodness of God, or our will to ever engage in our world again.
Pleasure overpowered pleasure. Delight overpowered delight. One love overpowered another. I began to wonder if my problems in life were rooted not merely in lack of self-control, discipline, or personal will power, but were rooted in misplaced delight.
